The Tennessee Court Information System (TnCIS) is a comprehensive system designed to provide court clerks with an automated case management system that reduces paperwork, processes fee collections, and improves record keeping and timeliness of case management. The system includes several modules to help manage court including Civil/Criminal Case Management, Child Support, Financials, Delinquent Taxes, Jury Selection, Investments, and Probate.  TnCIS can help courts run more efficiently by eliminating redundancy in data entry and provide more uniform and accurate court data that’s more easily accessible to the public, law enforcement, and other state agencies.  The system is a tied to various state agencies such as the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts (TJIS), Tennessee Department of Safety (Traffic), Tennessee Department of Human Services (TCSES), and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations (CCH). TnCIS will electronically and in many instances, automatically report court information to these agencies.
