Job Title: Merchant Account and Help Desk Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchant Account and Help Desk Specialist to join our team. This role will manage merchant account paperwork for our government office customers and providing help desk support for our in-house financial government software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Merchant Account Management:
- Process merchant account paperwork for government office customers.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Liaise with government offices and LGC’s credit card vendor to gather necessary information and resolve any issues related to merchant account set-up.
- Help Desk Support:
- Provide first-line support for our in-house credit card portal and financial government software.
- Respond to customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems, escalating complex issues to the appropriate team members as needed.
- Document and track support requests and resolutions in our customer service system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in customer service or help desk support
- Understanding of banking, accounting, payroll, and accounts payable
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Familiarity with financial software and merchant account processes is a plus
- Proficiency in using help desk software and other relevant tools
Local Government Corporation (LGC) is seeking a highly motivated Site Consultant to maintain and develop customer relationships in Middle Tennessee and Alabama. The primary focus of this position is to consult with county and municipal governments regarding LGC’s products and services, which include financial and revenue management software, human resource solutions, payment solutions, computers and networking, cybersecurity services, and website design. Candidate must be self-disciplined, self-motivated, technologically proficient, goal oriented, and have good time management and communication skills. Experience working within municipal and county budgeting guidelines is a plus. Some overnight travel is required. Site Consultants’ work from their home office and travel to customer sites daily. We are seeking to hire a Software Developer to create and maintain software applications working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Required skills include C#.NET, Angular, ASP.NET Core MVC, SQL Server. Experience with Git and Azure DevOps pipelines is a plus. Must have strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. Must be self-disciplined and self-motivated. Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently when appropriate and be accountable to your teammates. Our development team members work remotely from their home offices.
